AUGUST IN THE CITY

Many times I am asked by clients and journalists the question:
"What is the most important aspect of fragrance?" My answer is: "Wear something you love, and something which reflects who you are!" Don't always follow the trend, because the trend might not suit you.

Seasons, Mood, Emotions all play a part in what fragrances people like and will purchase.

On hot days the last thing people want are heavy perfumes and therefore light, refreshing scents are ideal for this time of year. My ideal scents for Summer are crisp, light, refreshing scents with a hint of hyacinth (for sweetness) and sparkling citrus notes from Bergamot, Grapefruit and a hint of lemon and lime. Fruity notes are fine, but be careful that the fruity fragrances don't become too sweet and 'cloying'in the summer, which can detract from the exhilarating feeling of 'fresh and clean' - two of the most sought after characteristics of a fragrance.

The rain yesterday and today in NY are a respite from the sweltering heat and humidity of the"Dog Days of August"! Once the rain clears, there will be an energizing crisp, refreshig scent in the air and like a wonderful large window-wiper, it clears everything away.

We have had some wonderful coverage of our Custom Perfume events and thanks to Charu Suri and her fabulous team of bloggers we have had lovely articles about our TRAVEL SCENTS events.

Here are just a few of them! Enjoy reading about our CUSTOM PERFUME events from bloggers who know!
