EVENTS & SCENTEVENTS

"Scentevents" are a compelling way to connect to the consumer. Events are an ideal way to interact, create and capture emotions and generate feelings of wellbeing. More and more companies and retailers are recognizing what entrepreneurs have known for many years and are hosting events that are fun and informative as a way to build relationships and loyal customers.

This past week I attended several events and one in particular, hosted by Gloria Cressler of Elite Professional Networking in New York, was where I met wonderful Cognac Wellerlane (isn't that a great name?) and had the great pleasure to have been interviewed by her: . We had a great dialog about fragrance and chatted about the current state of the fragrance industry.

The fragrance business is really soft right now but innovation, customization and personalization are all compelling initiatives that will help drive the business. There are so many new fragrances being launched virtually daily by every celebrity, singer, designer, actor, sports-figure and even liquor companies (!)that the consumer is confused, and doesn't necessarily want to wear what everyone else is wearing ....so.....that is where innovative, customization and personalization comes into play, and the niche players are making more headway and being more daring, which is what the fragrance business is, or should be, all about!

We need to bring back the magic, mystery and wonder of perfume and elevate the olfactory sensory aspect of this remarkable craft. The combination of art and science to create intangible emotions and memories is a phenomenon that must be celebrated. That is why we create interactive, creative, innovative fragrance seminars and take people on a 'fragrance journey'.

We are presenting a seminar at BODICURES SPA in Mamaroneck NY on July 27 at 6pm. We would be delighted to see you. Call (914) 777-2873 for more information.

Wishing you all a 'scentillating' week!

Scentfully,

Sue
